Geeraf Studios LLC — Look Both Ways

These terms are an agreement between you and Geeraf Studios LLC (“we”, “us”) about your use of the mobile game Look Both Ways (“the game”) on Android and iOS. By downloading or playing the game you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you and agree to them on your behalf.
The short version
- Play fair and be kind to other players.
- Coins, gems, skins and other in-game items are a licence to use them in the game. They have no cash value and cannot be sold or swapped for money.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and refunds follow their rules.
- We can change the game, and we may close accounts that cheat or abuse other players.
Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the game or any part of it, except where the law allows this no matter what these terms say.
Your account
The game creates an online player account for you automatically (anonymously, or through Google Play Games on Android) so your progress, friends and purchases can be saved. You are responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete your account and its online data at any time from Settings > Delete my data in the game, or at https://geerafstudios.com/delete-data.
Player names, messages and other players
You choose your player name. Do not choose a name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonates someone else, or contains personal information such as your real full name, address or phone number. We may change or remove a name that breaks these rules.
Messages between friends are chosen from a fixed list, and challenges, ghost races and leaderboards share only your times, distances and runs. Please do not use the game to bully or harass anyone. You can block a player at any time, and you can report a player from their friend card; reports go to support@geerafstudios.com.
Virtual items and currency
The game contains virtual items: coins, gems, skins, trails, effects, avatars, titles, player cards, the season pass and similar. Some can be earned by playing, and some can be bought with real money.
- They are a licence, not property. Virtual items are licensed to you for use in the game. They are not money, have no value outside the game, and cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred or sold, including between players.
- Prices and items can change. We may change prices, rewards and what items do, and we may retire items, as part of running and balancing the game.
- Prize Machine. The Prize Machine gives a randomly chosen item. The odds for each kind of prize are shown in the game before you use it.
- Losing access. You may lose virtual items if you delete your account, if we close your account under these terms, or if the game is discontinued. Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not owe a refund or compensation for unused virtual items in those cases.
Purchases and refunds
Purchases are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store and are subject to their terms and refund policies; we do not see or store your payment details. If a purchase does not arrive, use Settings > Restore purchases, then contact support@geerafstudios.com. The season pass is a one-time purchase for the season it names; it is not a subscription and does not renew.
Ads
The game shows video ads only when you choose to watch one for a reward. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads, and a reward is only given when an ad finishes.
Fair play
Do not cheat. That includes using modified versions of the game, bots, exploits or tools that change times, distances, currency or progress, and deliberately abusing bugs. If we find cheating we may remove the results, reset or remove items earned that way, or close the account.
Changes to the game and these terms
We update the game regularly and may add, change or remove features, levels, events and items. We may also update these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the game or on our website before it takes effect. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the game. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may discontinue the game with reasonable notice where possible.
Disclaimers and limits
The game is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and free of bugs, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, or that saved data will never be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, Geeraf Studios LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer law of the country you live in gives you more protection.
